FIREFIGHTERS were called out to an evening incident at a canal on the outskirts of Chester.
Two fire crews and a swift water rescue team attended the scene just after 9pm yesterday (Thursday, May 12) in Bowes Gate Road, Bunbury.
Firefighters were called to two swans stuck in a gully at Bunbury Locks, in the overflow from a canal.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service: "Two swift water technicians entered the water and removed the swans to safety."
