The Designer Outlet in Ellesmere Port has stated that their outdoor events area will be "back, and bigger than ever" this year.

Cheshire Oaks have revealed plans for a packed schedule of live music and delicious food and drinks as this year's Under the Oak Festival returns to the site.

The two-tiered space which features a rooftop bar, vintage carousel, summer huts and picturesque selfie spots first opened to the public in April, but as the summer months approach it is set to become the Outlet's centre for entertainment.

Guests can enjoy a drink in the summer sunshine whilst sampling the delights of street food vendors from Greek gyros to a classic burger and fries or fresh wood fired pizzas.

As well as enjoying the tasty food and drink on offer, organisers say visitors to Under the Oak will also be treated to a jam-packed schedule of live music taking place throughout the summer.

In July and August the Centre will play host to talented musicians from across the North West - and brand new for 2022, up and coming local artists are also in with a chance of securing their very own set at the live music venue, as well as £250 to spend at the Outlet.

This June, Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet is championing talent from the local community and beyond by inviting artists from across the North West to perform as part of the festival. Aspiring acts will be able to enter from Saturday 14th May by sharing a link to their Soundcloud or social channel on the McArthurGlen Cheshire Oaks’ Facebook page, with the lucky winners added to the schedule of talented local bands and musicians set to bring Cheshire to life this summer.

Cheshire Oaks will also be extending its opening hours during summer, allowing visitors to shop from 9am to 9pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 6pm on Sunday between 25 July and 2 September.

Kenny Murray, General Manager at McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Cheshire Oaks: "As summer approaches and everyone is on the lookout for the best places to grab some great food or drink in the sunshine, we are delighted to be able to welcome back the Under the Oak Festival to Cheshire Oaks.

"Not only is it a great place to relax, connect with friends and soak up the summer sun, we are thrilled to be able to provide a platform for local musicians to thrive after a trying few years for the industry. The North West is home to so many talented artists, so we can’t wait to see them take the stage at Under the Oak."
