TWO fire crews were called out to a crash on a bypass on the outskirts of Chester.

Firefighters attended the scene of the collision on the A54, Kelsall Bypass, at about 7.45pm yesterday (Saturday, May 7)

The crash involved two cars and the road was closed for a period of time..

A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue service said: "One of the cars had rolled onto its roof but occupants of both vehicles were able to remove themselves.

"Firefighters administered first aid to a number of casualties and handed them over to the care of paramedics when they arrived at the scene.

"Police were also in attendance to close the road."
