A 29-YEAR-OLD man has been handed a £525 court bill after driving while more than twice the legal alcohol limit.

Samuel Dean, of Frida Crescent, Northwich, pleaded guilty to drink driving on Navigation Road on April 15.

He gave a reading of 82 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath – the legal limit is 35.

Appearing in Chester Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, May 3, magistrates took Dean’s guilty plea into account when imposing sentence.

Dean was fined £400 and must also pay £85 in court costs and a £40 surcharge.

He was disqualified from driving for 20 months.
