POLICE have launched an appeal for witnesses following the death of a man on the forecourt of a garage. 

North Wales Police were called to the Premier Garage in Bretton at 8.40am on Tuesday morning (May 3), after reports of a road traffic collision.

Police confirmed they were dealing with an 'ongoing incident' and while there were no road closures in place, the garage would be shut for 'some time'.

The collision involved a Ford Ranger truck and a male from the Midlands area.

Officers attended the scene alongside colleagues from the Welsh Ambulance Service, who sent one rapid response vehicle, one duty operations manager, two emergency ambulances and the Wales Air Ambulance to the scene.

A patient was conveyed to Countess of Chester Hospital, where, sadly, he was pronounced dead.

North Wales Police confirmed the victim’s next of kin have been informed and their enquiries into this incident remain ongoing.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to help in their investigation and are asking anyone who may have dashcam footage of this incident, to contact them.
