POLICE are appealing after knife-wielding burglars burst into a Chester home and stole from a female resident.

The aggravated burglary happened in Great Boughton at about 10pm on Wednesday, April 27.

Two men, armed with knives, forced their way through the back door of a house on Hunts Close and confronted the occupant inside.

They then searched the property and stole a mobile phone and jewellery before leaving the area in a vehicle.

Enquiries are ongoing and officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the burglary or have CCTV or dash cam footage to get in touch.

Detective Constable Emma Flanagan, of Chester local policing unit, said: “These men left the occupant shaken but thankfully she didn’t sustain any injuries.

“We are now making enquiries to establish who these men are and appealing for the public to come forward with information.

“If you saw any vehicles which were out of place in the area or saw two men acting suspiciously please get in touch.

“I’d also ask residents to check their CCTV and dash cam footage and to contact us if it could be of use to our investigation.”
