THERE are delays on the M53 motorway near Ellesmere Port this morning (Friday, April 29) following an oil spillage.
Traffic was temporarily stopped northbound on the motorway between junctions 10 and 11 due to a spillage, which happened as a result of a collision.
Highways England North West has since reported one lane has reopened, but lane 1 remains closed for clean-up.
Congestion has been reported as far back as junction 12 (Chester), while there are also delays on the adjoining M56 motorway.
