A FIRE engine was called to a property in Eastham after a blaze broke out.

Crews were called to a fire in the garden of a house on Picton Close in Eastham yesterday, Wednesday, April 27.

Emergency services were alerted at 6.22pm and a fire engine arrived on the scene at 6.29pm.

On arrival, crews found the fire involved timber decking and fencing which had also burnt an outhouse and windows at the residential property.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews were called to a fire in the garden of a house on Picton Close, Eastham yesterday.

“One fire engine was in attendance. Crews were alerted at 6.22pm and on the scene at 6.29pm.

“Crews arrived to find a fire involving timber decking and fencing which had also affected an outhouse and windows at the residential property.

“The fire was extinguished by 7.12pm and after ensuring that the area was fully dampened down firefighters left the scene at 7.22pm.”
