Manchester Airport Terminal Three reopens but delays still expected

The new development has been built to cater for the soaring number of passengers following the easing of travel restrictions.

Passengers are still advised to check in three hours before their flights following weeks of delays caused by a severe shortage of security staff.

All arrivals at the airport will now exit from the Terminal Three building.

Passengers flying with Aurigny, British Airways, Eastern Airways, Iberia Express, Loganair, Ryanair and Vueling should now check in at the Terminal Three entrance.

A spokesman for Manchester Airport said: “In addition to arriving three hours before their flight, passengers should also refamiliarize themselves with the rules for security.

“This includes having large electronic items out and ensuring all liquids, gels and pastes are under 100ml and in a clear re-sealable bag.

“Even though the UK government has now scrapped Covid-19 travel restrictions, passengers are still reminded to check the advice for the country they are travelling to in advance of departure.

“Passengers with specific queries about their flights should contact their airline directly.”

A range of food and drink outlets have now opened.

Lots of new shops have opened inside Terminal Three

WH Smith and Travelex are on ground level in arrivals.

Boots, Costa, WH Smith, Duty Free, Lion & Antelope, Pork & Pickle, KFC, Nook and Kiosco are serving customers airside.

As part of its recovery, hundreds of jobs are still available across the airport site to meet the increased passenger demand.
