THE quick thinking of police and firefighters saved a dog's life during a fire in Wirral.
Firefighters and police were carrying out their everyday duties in the Bebington area yesterday, when they were flagged down by residents with regards to a house fire.
Officers gained entry to the property to check for residents and managed to save a 13 week frenchie bull dog.

A Teambeb facebook post read: "With the quick thinking of officers working alongside Merseyside fire and rescue service the fire was extinguished before it could take a hold onto neighbouring properties.
"Heskie the frenchie is now doing fine".
Merseyside Police and Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service have been contacted for comment.
