From this month, shoppers at Cheshire Oaks will be able to transport themselves into the world of Alice in Wonderland with a VR adaptation from British dance theatre, Jasmin Vardimon.

'Alice in VR Wonderland' will be arriving on the 8 April with VR headsets and 3D sound to immerse audience members in a "spectacular 360-degree virtual reality wonderland".

Housed inside a specially designed truck, the system will deliver a 20 minute production, bringing to life Lewis Carroll's creations through the performers of the Jasmin Vardimon Company.

In addition, Jasmin Vardimon is set to host two workshops for local children aged 7 to 11 and 12 to 18 respectively.

These closed-circuit workshops will allow a total of 60 budding artists from the Action Transport Theatre in the Cheshire region to experiment with 360 cameras, while also demystifying the world of dance theatre to younger audiences.

The new project has been created through a collaboration between McArthurGlen Designer Outlets (owners of Cheshire Oaks), Arts Council England, The Gulbenkian Theatre, Kent County Council and DanceEast.

The event will leave Cheshire Oaks on 17 April.
