Children across Cheshire have been dressing up for school today as famous literary characters as part of World Book Day.
We have compiled your submissions from our Facebook and Twitter accounts and put together this gallery to show your little ones in their best fancy dress.
Starting us of this morning was Thomas Macgregor as Willy Wonka from Roald Dahl's 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory':
Followed by Lily Harrison who was dressed as the Queen of Hearts from Lewis Carroll's 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland':
We had Eden, aged 6, as Dorothy from 'The Wonderful Wizard of Oz', complete with bright red shoes, and sister Roma, aged 4, as Goldilocks:
From Hoole, we had Kian, aged 6, as 'The Lion Who Lost his Roar but Learnt to Draw':
Another Roald Dahl character, Matilda, portrayed by Maisie, aged 7, from Blacon:
Jack, aged 2, from Little Sutton dressed up as the Gruffalo. The furry feet are the icing on the cake with this one:
Seren is dressed as Winnie the Pooh, originally featured in the ever-popular children's book by A. A. Millne:
Freddie, Lottie and Mollie from Chester were also very excited to go to school today. It was a first World Book Day for Lottie and Mollie.
We have Molly from Blacon, aged 6, who has dressed up as Hermione Granger from the 'Harry Potter' series by J K Rowling:
Levi, aged 8, has become Billionaire Boy from the novel of the same name by comedian, actor and author David Walliams:
Another impressive Dorothy costume from 'The Wonderful Wizard of Oz' worn by four-year-old Esme from Lache:

We have two-year-old Logan, who dressed up as Chase from 'Paw Patrol':
Sometimes, it is not the characters who inspire us, but the message of the book itself. Ruby, aged 11, from Chester went as herself for World Book Day:
Thank you to everyone who has submitted their pictures. We did do our best to get as many into this round-up as possible.
