The Holiday Inn Express Chester Racecourse have said that guests will enjoy an "upgrade to their stay" after a impressive refurbishment.
The hotel has undergone a £200,000 renovation of the bar and lounge areas, providing guests with a new modern breakfast area, fully refurbished bar and seating, outside seating area with planters, pods for evening drinks and a new air conditioning and heating system.
It follows a record-breaking summer for the hotel that saw occupancy rates at 99.75 percent because of the rise in 'staycations'. The improvements will hopefully continue this trend, with quality food and drinks to rival those of bars and restaurants in the city centre.
Lucy Edwards, its General Manager, said: "After the disappointment of having to close for the beginning part of last year because of the pandemic, we were thrilled to see a record-breaking Summer.
"We are delighted with the refurbishment and think that is a valuable investment that will improve the hotels offer to the staycation market.
"I’d like to thank all of our customers for their continued support and also the team at the hotel for their hard work. We’re looking forward to 2022 which is set to be another fantastic year."
The hotel is already a firm favourite with residents and visitors alike, and the new facilities mean that this is like to continue.
