TWO fire crews were called out to a late night fire at a property in Frodsham.
Firefighters attended the scene at about 9.10pm yesterday (Friday, January 21) in Hayes Crescent.
They were informed of a fire involving a cooker and on arrival no-one was unaccounted for.
The gas and electricity supplies to the property were isolated and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet and a 45mm covering jet to extinguish the fire.
They also used a large fan to clear the property of smoke and took the oven and its contents to a safe place outside.
Firefighters gave an occupier medical attention before he was assessed by paramedics.
They concluded that he was not suffering from effects of smoke inhalation and did not need to go to hospital.
Firefighters searched the property to make sure that the fire had not spread.
A thermal imaging camera was used to look for hotspots.
Neighbouring properties were inspected for signs of smoke damage.
Firefighters left the scene once they were satisfied that it was safe.
They were in attendance for more than an hour.
