Nearly nine in 10 adults in Wrexham have received two doses of a Covid-19 vaccine, figures reveal.
Public Health Wales data shows 94,091 people aged 18 and over have been given both doses of a vaccine up to January 16 – 85% of the area's adults.
They make up part of the 97,495 people who have been given at least one jab – 88% of the over-18 population.
Figures also show 2,371 16 and 17-year-olds in Wrexham (76% of the age group) and 4,534 12 to 15-year-olds (59%) had received a first dose by then.
The data for each age group in the area shows:
16 to 17 – 1,736 fully vaccinated (56%)
18 to 29 – 13,742 fully vaccinated (72%)
30 to 39 – 14,069 fully vaccinated (74%)
40 to 49 – 14,971 fully vaccinated (83%)
50 to 54 – 9,417 fully vaccinated (90%)
55 to 59 – 8,962 fully vaccinated (91%)
60 to 64 – 7,697 fully vaccinated (93%)
65 to 69 – 6,994 fully vaccinated (95%)
70 to 74 – 7,101 fully vaccinated (96%)
75 to 79 – 5,095 fully vaccinated (97%)
80 and over – 6,043 fully vaccinated (97%)
Across Wales, 2.3 million people have had both doses, equating to 85% of the over-12 population, while 2.5 million (91%) have had at least one dose and 1.8 million people (65%) have had a booster vaccination.
