POLICE seized £40,000 in cash from a motorist at a service station in Cheshire.
Officers pulled over a vehicle at Lymm Services yesterday afternoon, Tuesday, and discovered the monies.
The driver – who had been travelling on the M6 southbound – was ‘unable to explain why he was in possession’ of such a high number of bills and the notes were seized, with ‘further enquiries ongoing’.
