LAUGHTER and fun is being shared by two sisters who finally took the plunge and teamed up to work together in Cheshire.

Clare Hargreaves, 44, and Louise Gallie, 39, have contemplated starting a coffee business for ages.

The siblings launched Sister Barista in Knutsford a week ago and say it's a dream come true.

"We've been talking about this for a long, long time," said Clare, who grew up in Pickmere and lives in Wincham. "We thought why don't we just do it.

"We found a purpose built pod, exactly what we wanted and it's been amazing.

"We've absolutely loved every minute of it."

The pair chose pale green because they love open spaces and pitch up from 8am to 4pm at The Heath on Monday and Wednesday and Crosstown Community Orchard on Mobberley Road on Tuesday and Thursday.

They visit both sites on alternate Fridays after securing a street licence from Cheshire East Council.

Both mums have families and part time jobs and hope to expand with a second pod in the future.

"I'm a micro biology supervisor, making flu jabs so that is why I love the science of coffee," said Clare, who is married to Neil and has four children Jade, 24, Grace, 18, Alex 17 and Ella, 14.

Louise and husband Geoff have three children, Jack, 12, Amy, 10 and Dexter, eight.

"There is a lot of science to being a barista," said Clare. "We have been on a course and spent months mastering the art of making coffee.

"We trying to keep it as a family business. In future we hope to train the children up as little baristas."

Daughter Ella helped serve customers at a wassailing celebration at the orchard on Saturday, when the mums donated 15 per cent of their takings to the community project.

Customers have welcomed their freshly brewed coffee, luxury hot chocolate and baked cakes.

The pair also offer vegan and gluten free drinks.

"We've had great positive feedback," said Clare. "A lot of dog walkers say they're delighted to be able to get a coffee."

Louise, from Knutsford, who works in reception at Cottons Hotel and Spa, said: "Looking out on a field is good for your mental health. We're loving it.

"We're on top of each other all day long and it's been lovely. We're laughing quite a lot.

"We really enjoy chatting to different people who come along."
