MAJOR roadworks on pathways in a Cheshire village could take up to 14 weeks to complete.
Resurfacing on the footways along A56 Grappenhall Road, Stockton Heath, will commence on Monday, January 17.
The work will take place with road clearways in place between 8.30am and 5.30pm every Monday to Friday.
All footways will be fully open to pedestrians, as well as the road available for on street parking, outside the working times.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times during the works.
Vehicles parked on the road, verge or footway obstructing the works may be removed.
A council spokesman said: “Unfortunately, despite letters and notices being sent out, a number of residents/businesses have not cut back their overhanging vegetation and those sections of footway will be omitted from the resurfacing works until a resolution to this issue can be made.”
