POLICE have confirmed more details following a sudden death at a Chester canal bridge earlier this week.
Emergency vehicles were called to the scene at Iron Roving Bridge, South View Road, Chester, at 8.17am on Tuesday, January 11.
A cordon was set up on Whipcord Lane and by the Shropshire Union Canal, with emergency services leaving the scene at about 10.30am.
Police have provided more details now next of kin have been informed.
A Cheshire police spokesperson said the deceased was a man in his 50s, from Chester.
Enquiries have established the death is not believed to be suspicious.
A report is to be filed with the coroner.
