2021 has been a busy year for Rhyl Lifeboat.

Crew members have reflected on some of the main call outs between and June.

The year started with a hail storm which resulted in an early call out at 2am for lifesavers.

Also in January, Rhyl's Shannon Class 'Anthony Kenneth Heard' took on the waves on a rough weather exercise

The most significant search of the year involved the operation to find missing fishing vessel Nicola Faith. This was a huge multi-agency search. Sadly, the bodies of Ross Ballantine, Carl McGrath and Alan Minard were found on the Wirral and Blackpool in April.

A busy bank holiday Sunday was endured in May as members responded to five-call outs.

Crew members also helped search the River Clywd in Rhuddlan this month for a missing person and lifesavers saved a young girl after she was swept out to sea on a dingy.

In June, there was the rescue of two kayakers who were unable to get to shore in the dark and both of Rhyl's Lifeboats worked alongside Rhyl Coastguard Rescue Team, Flint Coastguard Rescue Team and North Wales Ambulance Service to evacuate an injured woman from Kinmel Bay Beach.
