THREE fire crews were called out to an incident at a block of flats in Ellesmere Port.
The fire crews responded to a fire alarm at Joseph Groome Towers at about 4.40pm on Sunday (December 5).
On arrival the alarm panel showed that the alarm in the bin store had been activated.
This had triggered the sprinklers in the bin store.
There were no signs of fire in the bin store.
The sprinklers were turned off by a caretaker and firefighters inspected all the bins in the store and the bin chutes on all floors using a thermal imaging camera.
They found no hotspots.
Firefighters left the building once they were satisfied that it was safe.
They were in attendance for about half-an-hour.
