A MAN was rescued from a chip pan fire at a house in Deeside.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service was called to the property on Elmwood Close in Shotton at about 2.30pm on Sunday.
The fire, believed to have been caused by an unattended chip pan, was out on arrival but fire crews had to use breathing apparatus to rescue the man.
He was given oxygen at the scene, and an ambulance wasn't required.
Elsewhere, firefighters also attended a blaze at a flat on Holywell High Street on Saturday.
Three appliances attended the incident - which occurred shortly before 5pm.
All residents had evacuated prior to arrival and the cause is thought to have been by a candle.
