A 34-YEAR-OLD has been jailed and banned from a Cheshire West pub due to his violent behaviour.
Matthew James Cornes, of Church Road in Northwich, appeared at Chester Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, November 23.
He pleaded guilty to damaging property at The Penny Black pub and using or threatening unlawful violence.
The charges related to September 17, when Cornes damaged a chair at the Witton Street pub to the value of £60.
He also used or threatened unlawful violence towards another in what was described as an 'unprovoked attack of a serious nature'.
Cornes was sentenced to six months in prison and was banned from The Penny Black for two years.
He was ordered to pay a £128 victim surcharge and £60 in compensation.
