CHESTER-BASED public relations and talent management agency Moda PR has been shortlisted for Agency of the Year.

The nomination is part of The New Faces Awards, hosted by Women of the City magazine.

The New Faces Awards are a celebration of female leadership, honouring inspirational women with an established track record of organisational and personal success.

Judged by public vote, The New Faces Awards ceremony takes place on Wednesday, December 8 in London.

The Agency of the Year category is awarded based on strong leadership, creativity and innovation, business performance, the development of talent, and its contribution to the PR industry.

Founder and director of Moda PR, Jennifer Hodgson, who started her career as an intern at The Can Group, left her full-time job at the beginning of the first Covid-19 lockdown back in March 2020 and established the agency in her spare room with a laptop and a second-hand printer.

The agency now works with the likes of global brands Dreamboys, Doll Beauty, Million Dollar Facial and TV personalities Sharon Gaffka, Georgia Harrison, Anna Vakili and Brad McClelland, with a head office in Chester and a second location just opened in London.

Jennifer said: “We’re delighted to be nominated for a national award, with the UK borders fast closing and boarding the plane from Las Vegas I knew I wanted to get back and leave my full-time PR role.

"Little did I know 12 months later, we would be a team of five with two offices across the UK.

"I took the leap to start my own business and the growth we’ve experienced in the last 12 months has been thanks to our trusting clients. This is what makes this recognition even more special.

"With new and exciting projects ahead, we can’t wait to see what the future holds.”
