It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Especially as Father Christmas coming to town and making his way around Chester early this year.

The Christmas countdown officially begins on November 28, which is the first day of advent and there are lots of events in the area that are perfect for a family day out.

We can’t think of anything better than visiting Santa in his Grotto, but there are also lots of Christmas markets and theatre shows you can see too.

Santa's Enchanted Grotto, Grosvenor Shopping Centre

Where: Grosvenor Shopping Centre, Pepper Street, Chester, CH1 1EA

When is it? 

Dates are available from Friday November 26 - Friday December 24.

Child tickets are £10 and include a present from Santa.

Christmas at Bolesworth

Where: Bolesworth Castle, Tattenhall, Chester, CH3 9HL

Bolesworth will be transformed into an illuminated winter wonderland this December.

Featuring a magical 1.2-mile trail, real life reindeer, a light show and a Christmas market, this is a Christmas extravaganza not to be missed.

Sunday Brunch with Santa at Chester Cathedral

Where: Chester Cathedral, St Werburgh Street, Chester, CH1 2DY

Join Santa for a magical Sunday Brunch inside the stunning thirteenth-century Refectory at Chester Cathedral.

The brunch will last for 90 minutes and children will get the chance to meet Santa and receive a selection box.

When is it? 

Sunday November 28, Sunday December 5, Sunday December 12, Sunday December 19, Friday December 24 at 9am and 11am.

How much is it? 

Recommended for children aged between two and 10. 
Tickets are priced from £7 and children under two will go free with any full paying adult.
