DRAG queen The Vivienne has partnered with KP Nuts and health charity Movember to raise awareness of testicular cancer.

The Queen of Drag and winner of season one of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, The Vivienne, has partnered with KP this Movember to remind the nation: if you have testicles you need to check them regularly for any lumps, bumps or anything unusual.

In the latest campaign, The Vivienne features in scroll-stopping video content to remind people to check their testicles.

As testicular cancer can be a taboo subject, the campaign uses The Vivienne’s humour and personality to raise awareness of the importance for anyone with testicles to check them regularly.

As someone who spends a fair amount of time touching and tucking in her own testicles, there was no better person to front this hugely important campaign.

Jenny Blanco Barcia, KP Marketing Manager says: “We are extremely proud to be working alongside Movember for another year. KP is the UK’s most well-known and best loved nut brand and we want to use our brand awareness to help raise awareness of testicular cancer and get people talking about it as there can be a stigma attached to it. The Vivienne’s sense of humour and appearances on Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK make her the perfect person to tell people ‘whoever you are, if you’ve got testicles, check them!”

Talking about the campaign, The Vivienne said: “Despite being such a vicious illness, testicular cancer can be detected easily with self-examination and if caught early, there is a 95 per cent survival rate. Cancer doesn’t discriminate. So no matter who you are, or how you identify, it is absolutely vital that if you have nuts you check them regularly. It doesn’t matter if you let them hang or tuck them in just check them my loves! It was such a fun day raising awareness for such an important cause with KP and Movember.”

The Vivienne has been sharing the video on social media.

They posted: "It’s officially Movemberand I have partnered with KP Nuts to remind you that whoever you are, even if you tuck ‘em, you’ve got to check ‘em! And if you notice anything different, talk to your GP."

The Vivienne, the first ever winner of Drag Race UK in 2019, who is originally from Colwyn Bay, announced earlier this year that she is moving to Chester.

One of the UK's most high profile drag queens, The Vivienne is the alter ego of former Rydal Penrhos pupil James Lee Williams.

Although calling Liverpool home, James spoke about his upbringing in North Wales in the werk room during the show that aired on BBC Three.

On Facebook, James that he an husband David Paul Ludford were buying their first home together in the city.
