AS world leaders prepare to attend the United Nations Climate Change Conference – also known as COP26 – in Glasgow, there will be an event which Cestrians can attend in the heart of the city.
COP26 will focus on the increasingly prevalent threat that is climate change, and what can and should be done to mitigate its effects, bringing parties together to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
Closer to home, a COP26 Exhibition will be held at Chester Cathedral on Saturday, November 6, from 10am-5pm.
The exhibition will look to tackle the question 'What impact can little old me really make?'
There will over 20 exhibits tackling topics such as energy, transport, waste, climate action, education and much, much more.
There will also be free talks from experts in the field of transport, land use and adaptation, waste and carbon capture with panel discussions including MPs about the big sustainability questions facing society in the coming decades.
