A CHESTER man found with a lock knife at a Liverpool train station then assaulted a police officer and later urinated in a police car and defecated in a custody cell.
Brian Chadd, 51, of Lower Bridge Street, pleaded guilty to all charges when he appeared at Chester Magistrates Court on Thursday, October 21.
He was jailed for six months.
The court heard all the offences happened on July 26, beginning at Liverpool Lime Street Station.
Chadd was found to be in possession of the bladed article, namely the lock knife.
He then assaulted a female police officer.
After being arrested, he urinated in the back of a marked police carrier.
After being taken to Wirral Custody Suite in Cavendish Street, Birkenhead, he defecated and smeared excrement on to the cell walls.
The court heard Chadd had refused to co-operate with probation when a pre-sentence report was suggested.
The guilty plea was taken into account insofar as the case was not sent to the crown court for sentencing.
However, the offences had been committed while Chadd was on bail and this was his second knife offence.
As well as the six-month prison sentence, the lock knife was to be forfeited and destroyed.
Chadd must also pay £136 compensation for the damage done to the custody cell, and £100 compensation for the damage done to the police carrier.
