TICKETS are selling out fast for this year's Lord Mayor's Fireworks Extravaganza at Chester Racecourse.

Records have been broken for pre-ticket sales for the November 6 event, which will see the family-friendly fireworks spectacular return after missing out 2020 due to Covid restrictions.

Due to the demand for tickets and the speed at which bookings are being made, the Lord Mayor’s Fireworks Extravaganza at Chester Racecourse is now set to be a sell-out event.

As a result, the fireworks night is now strictly a ticketed event and there will not be any ticket sales on the day at the gates.

With very limited tickets remaining, Chester Racecourse is now encouraging everyone who wishes to attend to book as soon as they can to avoid disappointment.

Tickets can be purchased via the website at chester-races.com or by phone with the Box Office on 01244 304610 (or in person at the Box Office).

The 2021 Lord Mayor’s Fireworks Extravaganza at Chester Racecourse features two separate firework displays. The first at 6.45pm is for children, and a second main display taking to the skies and set to music at 7.30pm.

There will also be a funfair at the world’s oldest racecourse, as well as fire performers and LED stilt walkers performing impressive feats throughout the evening. There will also be plenty of food and drink options available ar the racecourse’s own bars and eateries as well as third-party food vans.

The entire event is being run not-for-profit in order to raise money for charity with staff at the racecourse volunteering to work the event.

Share is this year’s partner charity. Share works with homeless people in North Wales and Cheshire, as well as assisting refugees internationally.

Tickets are £5 per person when bought in advance (plus a transaction fee). Children under four are welcomed free of charge into the event with a paying adult ticket-holder. Gates will open to the public at 5pm, with the funfair and racecourse closing for the night at 9pm.

Spectators will also be able to watch the fireworks show from the City Walls on Nuns Road.
