HERE are the latest coronavirus case numbers and rates across Cheshire East and West.

A total of 447 new cases were reported in Mid Cheshire between 4pm on October 25 and 4pm today, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

This is made up of 230 new cases in Cheshire West and Chester and 217 cases in Cheshire East.

The total number of cases in both boroughs now stands at 46,466 in Cheshire West and 49,510 in Cheshire East.

The latest update means there have now been 1,853 cases in the last seven days in Cheshire West, giving the borough a seven-day case rate of 538.9 per 100,000 people.

There have been 2,332 cases in Cheshire East over the last week, meaning the borough’s seven-day case rate is now 603.1 per 100,000.

Nationally there were 40,954 new Covid-19 cases across the UK in the latest 24-hour period.
