ALMOST 450 new cases were recorded across the Cheshire boroughs in the latest 24-hour period.
A total of 446 new cases were reported in Mid Cheshire between 4pm on October 24 and 4pm today, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.
This is made up of 221 new cases in Cheshire West and Chester and 225 cases in Cheshire East.
The total number of cases in both boroughs now stands at 46,236 in Cheshire West and 49,293 in Cheshire East.
The latest update means there have now been 1,878 cases in the last seven days in Cheshire West, giving the borough a seven-day case rate of 546.2 per 100,000 people.
There have been 2,464 cases in Cheshire East over the last week, meaning the borough’s seven-day case rate is now 637.2 per 100,000.
Nationally there were 36,567 new Covid-19 cases across the UK in the latest 24-hour period.
