A FIRE on a barge was tackled on a canal in Chester.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service was called out to the incident, reported on the Shropshire Union Canal on Whipcord Lane, Chester, at about 8.45pm on Sunday, October 24.
Two fire engines from Chester were called out.
On their arrival, two firefighters, wearing breathing apparatus, used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire and were detained at the scene for around 20 minutes.
