Residents on a street in Port Sunlight have been transported back to the 1960s this week.

A film crew is currently in situ on Park Road, where scenes of forthcoming film Midas Man are being shot.

The feature length production will tell the extraordinary life story of former Beatles manager Brian Epstein.

Directed by Jonas Åkerlund, Midas Man charts the life of a man who often struggled to find his place in the world, but is today universally recognised as the creator of the blueprint for music artist management.

His discovery of The Beatles at The Cavern became a culturally iconic moment.

Other acts under his stewardship included Gerry and the Pacemakers, Cilla Black and Billy J Kramer.

Epstein - played by Jacob Fortune-Lloyd in the film - also promoted the legends he didn’t manage. Bands like The Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Who, Pink Floyd, Procol Harum and Cream all performed at The Saville Theatre, which Brian leased in 1965.

A number of classic cars have been placed in historic Port Sunlight village as part of the film's set.
