THE family of a 58-year-old man who died in a collision in Cheshire have paid tribute to him.

Alan Pimblott was the pedestrian involved in the collision with a Fiat 500 and Volkswagen Polo.

The incident occurred on Chester Road, Macclesfield at about 7.10pm on Friday, October 1.

Sadly, he passed away at the scene.

His family are being supported by specialist officers.

In a tribute, his family said: “Born and lived in Macclesfield to a large and loving family. Tragically passed away on 1 October. Fondly and lovingly known as ‘Pimmy’.

“Alan joins his dad, Albert, his beloved mum, Gladys, brother, David and sister, Susan, leaving behind his partner, Jill, step daughter, Charlotte, all his brothers and sisters, their partners and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

“'Pimmy’ or ‘our Alan’ loved his pool nights and was an avid Liverpool supporter but what proceeds him is his gentle, loving fun nature and he will be sadly missed by all.

“The funeral will take place on 29 October at Macclesfield Crematorium at 12.15pm.”
