A MAN from Ellesmere Port who broke a Covid lockdown by taking part in a gathering at a private home has been fined hundreds of pounds.
Andrew Dickson, 58, of Newnham Drive, was found guilty of the offence, which Chester Magistrates Court heard took place at a house on Chester Road, Ellesmere Port, on February 5, 2021, at the time when there was a 'Tier 4' Covid lockdown.
Appearing at the court to be sentenced on Thursday, October 7, Dickson was fined £330.
He must also pay court costs of £150 and a £34 victim surcharge.
