A MAN has pleaded guilty to brandishing a baseball in a Cheshire West street.

Ryan Alan Clarke, of Hatton Lane, Northwich, pleaded guilty to two charges when he appeared at Chester Magistrates Court on Friday, October 1.

The 26-year-old admitted threatening Lee Ian Short in an incident that took place on August 29 this year.

He also admitted being in possession of an offensive weapon (the baseball bat) in a public place, on the same date.

The matter was adjourned by the bench to allow for a pre-sentence report to be prepared by the probation service.

Clarke was bailed until his next court appearance on October 25.

Meanwhile, a warrant was issued for the arrest of the man Clarke admitted threatening.

Lee Ian Short had been due to face three charges himself on the same day, including a similar charge of making threats towards Clarke.

Short, 28, of Lime Avenue, Weaverham was also charged with the possession of cocaine and cannabis.
