THESE are the latest Covid-19 case numbers across Cheshire West and East.
The figures show 218 new cases were recorded in Cheshire West and Chester in the 24 hours up to 4pm today, with 295 cases recorded in Cheshire East.
This is compared to 262 new cases in Cheshire West and Chester and 341 cases in Cheshire East in a 24-hour period as of Wednesday.
The total number of cases in both boroughs now stands 41,682 in Cheshire West and 43,157 in Cheshire East.
The latest update means there have now been 1,350 cases in the last seven days in Cheshire West, giving the borough a seven-day case rate of 392.6 per 100,000 people.
There have been 1,974 cases in Cheshire East over the last week, meaning the borough’s seven-day case rate is now 510.5 per 100,000.
Nationally, there were 40,701 new Covid-19 cases across the UK in the latest 24-hour period.
