A CARE home in Chester has been named one of the best in the region by the UK’s leading care home review website.

Care UK’s Deewater Grange, on Chester Road, was listed as one of the best from over 700 care homes in the North West of England in the carehome.co.uk awards.

Based on both the individual home and care group review score, which is calculated based on reviews given by service users and relatives, the list highlights the most recommended care homes across the UK.

With a score of 10, the highest possible rating, 100 per cent of reviewers for Deewater Grange rated the care home as ‘excellent’, and were also ‘extremely likely’ to recommend the care home to others.

Deewater Grange provides daily group and one-to-one activities led by the lifestyle team. Reviews praised the facilities on offer at the home, including a hair salon and cinema, and the quality of the meals available, all specially prepared by the home’s chef.

One review said: “We regularly visit and are always greeted with a smile and tales of what Grandpa has been up to. He is content and very well cared for, and tells us how nice everyone and everything is, a particular highlight being the food which is wonderful.”

Sally Cooper, home manager at Deewater Grange, said: “We were thrilled to find out that Deewater Grange has been rated in the top 20 care homes in the region. After such a challenging year especially, this is a fantastic achievement and a true testament to the team’s hard work.

“I’m incredibly proud of the wonderful environment we have created. Everyone here is dedicated to enabling residents to lead fulfilling lives, and I am immensely grateful for their continued dedication and support.

"I would like to say a big thank you to every individual who has contributed to making Deewater Grange such a wonderful place to call home.”
