A POPULAR country pub and restaurant will reopen its doors later this month following a major renovation – and there are a number of jobs up for grabs at the new-look venue.

The Chimneys in Hooton will welcome back customers on Friday, September 24.

Work on an extensive renovation of the flood-damaged premises got underway on August 23.

Following "significant investment", both the interior and exterior of the pub have been revamped with the new look paying homage to its traditional roots and location, while also offering a bright, contemporary take on a classic country pub.

Changes include the addition of a stylish private dining area, a beautiful new garden and elegantly-styled interiors.

Mike Mumford, general manager at The Chimneys, said: "We’re working hard to create a truly unique and stimulating experience for our guests and are so excited to unveil the new Chimneys to the local area.

"The changes that are currently underway are all centred around creating an original country pub with a real difference. The new Chimneys will provide both our regulars and first-time guests with an exciting location to enjoy high-quality dining in beautiful surroundings.

"Both myself and the whole team are incredibly excited to open the doors and welcome guests to experience the new Chimneys for themselves, we hope that they love the transformation."

Along with a striking new look, the relaunched Chimneys has also introduced an all-new food offering.

In addition to lunch and dinner, the pub will now offer a brunch menu which boasts a selection of dishes ranging from the classic eggs royale to buttermilk pancakes with pancetta and smashed avocado on sourdough toast.

Guests can enjoy the newly-launched brunch from 9am until midday, Monday to Saturday, and 11.30am on Sundays.

The new dinner menu will offer freshly cooked dishes including chargrilled skewers, pan fried sea bass and slow cooked pork belly.

As a result of the refurbishment, 15 new full and part-time jobs have been created and the pub is currently seeking to recruit new team members for both front and back of house roles.
