A PREMISES licence application has been lodged for a proposed new bar and restaurant in Ellesmere Port.

Last week The Standard reported that plans had been put forward to convert the vacant shop premises at 1A Woodland Road into a Mediterranean restaurant called Zoom Bar & Grill.

The proposed development includes a front extension with a retractable fabric roof as well as an outdoor dining area at the side of the property.

A change of use planning application has been submitted to Cheshire West and Cheshire Council by a Mr Gokhan.

A premises licence application has also been lodged for the following opening hours and supply of alcohol:

  • Monday to Sunday 11am until 11pm
  • Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve until midnight

The vacant premises was previously occupied by bed and furniture store Bedsmart and prior to that, CSS Carpets & Flooring.

Work is currently being carried out inside the property.
