WORK is underway on a new Venetian-style bar in Chester city centre.
The Venetian will be opening soon in Rufus Court at the premises recently vacated by American-style waffle house, Off The Waffle.
In an Instagram post, the new cicchetti (meaning small snacks or side dishes) and lounge bar has promised guests that it will be "bringing Venice to you".
Last night, The Venetian also shared an Instagram story of the unit being decorated in readiness for the launch.
No date has yet been set.
Off The Waffle closed permanently in June – a decision the owners said was taken with a "heavy heart".
