A DAY nursery operating in Cheshire, has been sold.

Rainbow Day Nursery has been purchased by corporate buyer Atherton House, advised by Redwoods Dowling Kerr.

It was established in 1990, operating successfully under family ownership for more than 30 years.

Located in Lymm, the nursery is registered for 72 children aged three months to five years of age.

In its 30 years of operation, the nursery has cemented an enviable reputation in the local area for providing the highest quality of childcare.

Due to this, the setting received an assessment of “Good” from Ofsted in its most recent inspection and has a 5-star food hygiene kitchen, providing excellent nutrition to children in their care.

Additionally, many members of the staff have been with the business for 10 to 20 years, a testament to the well-run setting and the enjoyment of providing children with a stimulating environment.

The buyer, corporate operator Atherton House, was attracted to the setting due to the familial nature of the business. They have four additional settings and decades of experience within the sector, highlighting them to be a suitable buyer for Rainbow Day Nursery.

Sales negotiator Natasha Satterthwaite said: “I am delighted for both parties in the sale. I would like to wish them both the best of luck with their future endeavours.”
