STUDENTS at a Saltney high school have celebrated their incredible performances - in spite of COVID-19 challenges.

Year 11 students at St. David’s High School are celebrating their GCSE grades with the school enjoying a great deal of success across the board, notably in the core subjects of English, Maths and Science.

The Centre Determined Grades awarded to students are based on a wide range of information and subject to a great deal of scrutiny and rigour.

Students should be very proud of their hard work, resilience and dedication to their studies and richly deserve their success. Many of our students have excelled.

Amongst the many outstanding results, the following students all achieved five or more A* and A grades:

  • Sean Davis
  • Marie Docherty
  • Thomas Evans
  • Jake Jackson
  • Robbie Jones
  • Euan Morley
  • Nathan Prince
  • Poppy Windsor

Steve Richardson, Headteacher, commented: “I am proud of the results of every student in Year 11.

"I would like to pay special tribute to the hard work of all the staff at St. David’s, the excellent support we receive from parents and our local community, but most importantly to the students themselves who have worked so hard to achieve their success in times of adversity.

"With our excellent GCSE results, improved attendance figures and dramatic rise in the number of parents and pupils opting to join St. David’s, the GCSE results round off another excellent year for the school.”
