A DRINK driver who was nearly five times the legal limit when he caused a crash has been jailed.
Paulius Krasinskas was handed 18 weeks behind bars at Warrington Magistrates Court on Thursday, July 8, after admitting drink driving and driving without insurance.
The 36-year-old’s Mercedes was involved in a collision on Bridge Lane in Woolston on Tuesday, July 6.
When breathalysed, he returned a huge reading of 168 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath when tested – the legal limit being 35 micrograms.
Krasinskas, of Amelia Street in Orford, was also disqualified from driving for 1,071 days and told to pay a victim surcharge of £128 plus £85 in court costs.
His driving record will also be endorsed.
