POLICE are appealing for information amid "a number of reports" of suspicious men appearing at Ellesmere Port homes "looking for work".
The Grange Police – Ellesmere Port neighbourhood policing team has made residents aware of what it says are cold callers, from people claiming to call themselves 'City Roofing Ltd', as roofing and building contractors.
They have distributed flyers which include an 0800 number which does not provide a positive search on Google.
Officers say there have been a number of reports regarding said company, about people turning up at the houses looking for work.
The police team said: "Usually there are two males and their methods appear suspicious – one male found in property without permission."
Police say anyone who sees them should call 101 with the incident reference number IML 1030784. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
