Shoppers and motorists have got a first glimpse at a new supermarket coming to Bromborough, after construction hoardings around the building were removed.
Lidl is currently in the process of constructing its latest outlet on the fringes of the Croft Retail Park.
Pre-existing industrial units on Thursby Road have been demolished and replaced with a new 13,500 ft modern structure.
The supermarket will feature 120 car parking spaces, an in-store bakery and customer toilets.
Landscaping around the store has been put in place as work continues.
Lidl has not yet confirmed an official opening date for the store, but it is currently expected to welcome shoppers from 'late summer'.
The store will be open Monday to Friday 8am-10pm and Sunday 10am-4pm.
Concerns regarding traffic flow issues to the site saw planning permissions submitted three times before being finally agreed by Wirral Council.
The main store entrance and exit will be from Thursby Road, however there will also be a secondary exit-only from the car park onto Caldbeck Road, which leads vehicles directly off the retail park area and back onto the busy A41/New Chester Road.
Around 40 job opportunities have been created by the development and a recruitment drive offering a variety of positions at the store is still underway.
People interested in working at the new Bromborough store are invited to apply through the Lidl careers website: careers.lidl.co.uk
