A MAN seriously injured in an unprovoked attack in Cheshire has returned home after an operation.

Jack Lomax was violently attacked in Stockton Heath on Sunday evening, July 11, by a group of around ten people, all believed to be between 16-17 years old.

He broke his jaw in the attack as well as suffering other facial injuries.

The attack happened on London Road close to Waterfields bakery and resulted in the victim being taken to hospital.

Jack’s family have thanked everyone for their support and kindness.

Carole Lomax, Jack’s mum, said: ‘‘We would like to thank everyone who have sent messages wishing Jack well, and people for their kindness and support.

‘‘Jack has had an operation in Aintree hospital yesterday on his jaw and he has come home this afternoon to recover.

‘‘We just want justice for Jack.’’
