SIX pubs based in Chester, Ellesmere Port and Frodsham are offering every customer a free pint on the first day of the highly-anticipated Euro 2020 football tournament.

The Greene King venues are inviting punters to redeem a pint of its own pale ale brew, Ice Breaker, on the day the rescheduled European Championships kick off on Friday, June 11.

More than 1,000 of its pubs are taking part as a celebration of their reopening after the Covid lockdown and an exciting summer of sport.

No vouchers or downloads are needed, customers simply need to utter the words "Your home of pub sport" to the bar staff during serving hours on June 11 and they will be provided with a free pint.

The soft drink alternative is a standard bottle of Coke or Coke Zero.

The participating pubs in our area are:

  • Grace Arms, Ellesmere Port

“We’ve all been forced to watch sport from home but we know our pubs are your home away from home when it comes to sport!

"We want to celebrate by giving each and every one of our customers a free pint of Ice Breaker. The ultimate, unfiltered, refreshing pale ale – bursting with fruity hop characters.

"We’re looking forward to seeing you all soon!"

All Greene King venues are operating a table-only service during the Euros tournament up until planned easing of restrictions on June 21 – subject to Government announcements.
