A Cheshire choir able to sing again after receiving a funding boost from National Lottery.
Frodsham-based One Voice Community Choir has been awarded a £3,000 grant from the National Lottery Community Fund to help with its relaunch.
One Voice now hopes to return to weekly rehearsals from June 23 at Main Street Community Church, Main Street, Frodsham at 7.15pm.
The choir will be led by their new highly experienced musical director, Joe Mann, known for his involvement in the Chester Mystery Plays and fringe productions.
One Voice Choir launched in October 2019. After just 10 weeks the membership had grown to 27, when they held their first Friends and Family Christmas performance at Frodsham Community Centre.
Unfortunately, in March 2020 all public gatherings had to stop due to Covid, so the choir kept their members involved with rehearsals and socials on Zoom.
The choir is open to everyone and all singing abilities. There are no auditions required and anyone interested in joining One Voice should either go along to rehearsal or get in touch via the choir's website www.onevoicecommunitychoir.org or email: onevoicewa6@gmail.com
