THUNDER and lightning is forecast for Bournemouth this weekend – although no weather warning has been released yet.
Locals are set for another wet weekend across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, however Saturday could have some sunny spells.
Temperatures will reach as high as 15 degrees on Saturday, according to the Met Office, with rain predicted throughout the day.
Conditions are then set to take a turn for the worse, with thunder and lightning forecast at 10am on Sunday.
The Met Office website, forecasting the weather for Saturday in the south west, said: “A day of sunny spells and widespread showers, these heavy at times and occasionally thundery. Winds remaining breezy, and brisk along coasts.”
For Sunday through to Tuesday, it said: “Remaining unsettled throughout, with sunny spells and showers. Sunday seeing the heaviest and most organised showers, with a risk of thunder extending into Monday. Lighter, less frequent showers after Sunday.”
